Emily Anderson | Chair of Film Studies & Professor of English

Emily Anderson earned her B.A. from Willamette University, her M.A. from Mills College, and her PhD from University of California, Berkeley. Her previous work has centered on epistemological crises in gothic novels and on adaptation theory. Currently, she is working on cinematic narrative strategies and their relationship to literary narrative. Her articles have appeared in EntertextEighteenth-Century Fiction, and The Journal of Narrative Theory. She teaches eighteenth- and nineteenth-century English literature, film and literary theory.
